FreeSpace Terms of Use

By starting a trial, purchasing or restarting a subscription, or using FreeSpace, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not start the subscription and uninstall the extension.

The service

FreeSpace is provided by Amma Software LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. FreeSpace is a Chrome extension for organizing browser tabs into local workspaces. Workspace data is stored in Chrome on your device, subject to optional Chrome Sync and the export choices you make. A limited hosted service verifies PayPal subscription access; it is not a cloud backup for workspace content.

Trial and recurring payment

An eligible installation may start with a 30-day free trial. Unless canceled before the trial ends, PayPal will charge the accepted recurring total—the $1.99 USD monthly base price plus any exact qualified seller-collected tax—until canceled. Amma Software LLC is the seller of the FreeSpace subscription; Google is not the seller, and PayPal is the payment processor rather than the tax-determination engine. Paid checkout is limited to qualified supported regions. Checkout is available to United States residents only.

Before a PayPal subscription is created, you select an enabled region and FreeSpace returns a time-limited quote containing the selected region, trial or restart status, USD base price, inclusive or exclusive tax treatment, exact tax and recurring total, amount due now, plan, renewal schedule, and disclosure. You must accept those exact terms. FreeSpace then rechecks the regional policy, location decision, eligibility, expiry, plan, and disclosure before asking PayPal to create the subscription. Unsupported, unavailable, ambiguous, changed, or unaccepted decisions fail before that provider action. Expiry blocks every new provider create or reseed; an exact already-attempted create may reconcile only its original provider result and never authorize another mutation. The configured adapter's network-derived country, region code, and postal-code classification are technical controls, not a representation of legal sufficiency.

You authorize PayPal to make the recurring charge when you approve the plan. You are responsible for keeping the PayPal payment method current. PayPal's own terms also apply to its service.

Trial and restart eligibility are evaluated for the opaque installation record that starts checkout; FreeSpace does not represent this as one trial per person. If the service later confirms that the same installation may subscribe again after terminal access, the new subscription has no additional trial and starts at the $1.99 USD monthly base price. FreeSpace offers that action only when a separate no-trial PayPal plan is configured, verified, and eligible for the installation; otherwise it does not create a fallback subscription.

Cancellation, expiration, and refunds

You may ask FreeSpace to cancel renewal from Plan → Cancel renewal, or cancel through PayPal's automatic-payment controls. Cancellation stops future renewal only after PayPal confirms it. Subject to successful provider verification, access is intended to continue through the remaining trial or already-paid period. Payment failure, refund, reversal, fraud indicators, or provider suspension may end productive access sooner.

When entitlement ends, productive features pause, but FreeSpace continues to let you read, unlock, export, and delete your existing local data. Refunds are governed by the separate refund policy and applicable law.

Your responsibilities

• Use FreeSpace only for lawful purposes and in compliance with Chrome, PayPal, and website terms that apply to you.
• Keep device access, exported backups, recovery information, and workspace passwords secure.
• Do not attempt to bypass entitlement verification, abuse billing endpoints, interfere with the service, or use the service to harm others.
• Do not send support sensitive workspace exports, passwords, activation tokens, or full payment details.

Password protection and backups

FreeSpace cannot recover a forgotten workspace password. Browser tabs already open in Chrome remain visible even when a saved workspace is locked. You are responsible for maintaining exports or other backups of information you cannot afford to lose.

Availability and changes

FreeSpace is provided on an as-available basis. Paid checkout is not available in every jurisdiction and may be withheld where tax or other compliance support has not been enabled. Browser changes, provider outages, device failure, data corruption, or third-party policy changes may affect availability. Features and these terms may change, but material changes to price or data practices will be disclosed before they apply as required by law and Chrome Web Store policy.

Warranty disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeSpace is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from every defect. The developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of FreeSpace. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using FreeSpace at any time. The developer may suspend hosted entitlement service for abuse, fraud, legal requirements, or material breach of these terms. Local read, unlock, export, and deletion capabilities remain available as described above.
